We have a slew of great new artists here at Clay Wood & Cotton, and we’ll be highlighting them here on Notebook over the next few weeks.

On deck today are two illustrators, one from the Midwest and one from the Pacific Northwest.

Sally Harless creates winsome animal illustrations under the moniker Sadly Harmless. Her elephants, giraffes, moose, narwhals, and jackalopes have charmed us completely.

Ciao Birdie is run by Barb Burwell in Portland, Oregon. Barb combines collages made of found ephemera with her own illustrations to create eclectic and lovely stationary products.
