Sara Smedley

Sara Smedley designs and silkscreens modern textiles. Her unique line of linen butcher’s aprons were inspired by aprons her grandfather used and the denim aprons worn by Julia Child. She aims to keep her patterns fresh and unexpected, but carries with her a nostalgia for design from the mid-century on through the 1970's as well as Scandinavian design. She has a B.F.A in painting from Pratt Institute and lives with her husband in rural Pennsylvania.
