If you’ve been in Beacon lately, you’ve probably noticed the painted wooden guitars hung up in many of the shops around town. They’re the work of local artists for the Art Guitars project, a part of the Beacon Riverfest, a music festival taking place on the Beacon waterfront on Saturday June 25th.

We’ve been proudly displaying a guitar by Jon Reichert, Kristy’s husband! Kristy helped him out by knitting the seat cushion.

And the best part is, if you like Jon’s creation or any of the other Art Guitars, they can be yours! Tomorrow at 6pm, the guitars will be auctioned off! The auction will take place at the Marion Royael Gallery on Main Street. Support local artists, support the Riverfest, and take home a rockin’ piece of original art….
